The Eleventh Time
One for the time you kicked me away
two for the time you didn't let me pray
three for the time you said I had no glow
for all the times a seed of doubt you'd sow.
For the time you spoiled an infant's water
when you yelled and filled my dreams with terror
when you claimed to be living in my shadow
when you made my childhood completely hollow.
Four for the times you'd come and vent
five for the tortures you'd invent
six for the vicious mood swing you sat on
for the times you wished I was never born.
For the time you came charging in
when you painted the hell I'm stuck in
when you treated me as per you whims and fancy
when all this burden you made me carry.
Seven for the time you never understood
eight for the time you were so crude
nine for making me love you so
my mind is a game and you always had a go
For the time you said it won't kill,
the time you claimed to pay the bill,
when you made emotions so foreign,
you made it wong to feel any pain.
Ten for the times I've shut up
ten for the days I was nice
ten for the days you thought it fine to snub
for the time you turned my heart to ice.
understand one thing,
I never forget.
I choose to leave you laughing.
but one day, revenge is what I'll get.
So kneel forth God and don't you rise
and beg; and implore; and pray,
that you never have to see the day,
I choose to stop being nice.
For the ten million nights I have wept,
I swear, I won't rest
'till accounted for is all the time,
and then the world will finally cry.
So kneel forth God and don't you rise
and beg; and implore; and pray,
that you never have to see the day,
the day I choose to stop being nice.
And if you make it to the eleventh time,
this poem won't need another line.
